This did lead me to wonder what would happen in the UK if this happened? Would we have Kate Adie lecturing us on how short skirts are just asking for rape? Or Paxman telling us that taking a quick toke on a joint is the first step to becoming a crack whore?

true story: several years ago, in portugal, a judge acquitted a rapist (proven in court) of two women (british, iirc) and then proceeded to tell them off for “walking around in mini-skirts on the hunting grounds of the latin macho”.
and you wonder why i left.
