		<description>Labour in general are in favour of the BBC as it does tend to have a bit of a left-wing lean. My understanding is that the head of the culture and media committee John Whittingdale is a Tory and is therefore gunning for the BBC.</description>

		<description>I agree, this was a complete non-story, and I&#039;ve got several friends who work for the BBC who are dedicated, hard working and actually rather underpaid. 

Is this not part of a drive to privatise the BBC? Bang on about spiralling costs, claim privatisation will be more cost efficient, yadda yadda....?</description>
